So, August was a busy month for us...but I guess you could say every month is a busy month for us. Lots of firsts and lots of fun! When we aren't at home and playing outside most of the day we try to do new and exciting things. One of the girls firsts...was their first drive-in movie in Eden, NC. So lucky to have one not too far away from our house. The girls really enjoyed turning the back of the van into a lounge area. Although they didn't watch much of the Disney movie CARS, they did eat a lot of sweet tarts and doritos and play on their iPad.
We also had their NICU reunion. 2nd one they have been to. This year it was located at the Greensboro Science Center in the new Sciquarium instead of the hospital. Always a joy to see all the doctors and parents. The family support network will be doing a story about our situation on their website.
We also made a trip to Smith Mountain Lake in VA...got to spend time with Nana Dinah and feed the duckies!
Another weekend adventure was their first trip to the Ashboro Zoo. The girls favorite part was the monkeys and the elephants. They insisted calling the elephants, cows and making the moo sound over and over!
Lastly but not least, to end the month on a good note...we went to the All-A-Flutter butterfly farm. My girls have loved seeing all the butterflies this summer and I thought this would be a great place to take them. I was right! They loved it! Such a great place to take kids.
Such great memories. We enjoying doing new things with our girls, such joy to see it through their eyes. I hope next month is just as great! :)
